How the program works
We help women preserve their reproductive potential through a safe and controlled process of stimulation, retrieval, and cryopreservation.
1
1
Initial examination
Includes general and hormonal blood tests, pelvic ultrasound, breast ultrasound, and other examinations if necessary to assess health and ovarian reserve.
2
2
Ovarian stimulation
Instead of a single egg maturing in a natural cycle, controlled ovarian stimulation is performed to obtain multiple oocytes, maximizing the chances of future pregnancy.
3
3
Egg retrieval and freezing
Mature eggs are retrieved under anesthesia and vitrified (cryopreserved) in liquid nitrogen, where they can remain viable for an unlimited time.

What is the recommended age for egg freezing
The optimal age is up to 35, when egg quality and quantity are highest. However, in Slovakia, the procedure can be performed up to age 45 if the hormonal profile and ovarian reserve are satisfactory.
How many eggs should be frozen?
There is no universal number, but clinical practice suggests at least 15 mature oocytes. Another approach is to preserve the number of eggs approximately corresponding to the woman’s current age.
For how long can eggs remain frozen?
Vitrified eggs can be safely stored for many years without loss of quality. The storage time is not limited as long as proper laboratory conditions are maintained.
When can frozen eggs be used?
Frozen oocytes can only be used in IVF programs. They are thawed, fertilized with partner’s or donor sperm, and then embryos are transferred to the uterus.
